As a Company
History
NST was set up in 2001 to service the growing requirement for safety
training and consultancy in Ireland. Our head office
is based in Kanturk, Co.Cork
but NST provide a nationwide service.
NST began with Mark Murphy as the sole consultant and trainer and has
expanded dramatically since. Now NST have 3 full time Safety Officers, 2 full
time trainers and a range of part-time trainers that are available for
specialist training requirements. NST also have dedicated staff working on
safety statements and safety plans as well as
the Training Co-Ordinator and other
administration staff based in our head office.

Kathy McGlade
Sales & Marketing
Manager
Kathy is responsible for the Sales & Marketing of NST and is our
newest member of staff having joined the company in August 2006. She previously
worked for the Smurfit Group having spent a number of years in sales and
marketing roles before working as Production Manager and Health & Safety
Manager for one of their Dublin based companies.
Kathy completed her BA in UCC before studying the Hdip
in Business Studies at the Micheal Smurfit Graduate
School of Business/UCD. She later completed the Certificate course in Safety
Health & Welfare at Work with IBEC and UCD. If you have any sales enquiries
she’ll be more than happy to talk to you.
James Lowe
Safety Advisor & Trainer
James worked in the construction industry for 12 years before specialising
in health & safety in the workplace. He worked on multimillion pound
projects throughout the UK for his family
owned construction company based in London. While working
in construction James saw first hand the importance of safety in the workplace
and began his studies in this area. He completed the Certificate in Safety
Health and Welfare in the Workplace with NEBOSH while in the UK. James continued
to gain experience in construction safety with his job while completing a
variety of related courses including Manual Handling Instructor, Scaffolding
Inspector and CIF’s Managing Safety in Construction. James took a role as
Safety Officer with NST in 2004. He continues to update his knowledge in health
& safety management and is currently studying the Diploma in Safety, Health
& Welfare in the Workplace with University Limerick.
Denis O’Leary
Safety Advisor
Denis ran his own Plant Hire firm for 26 years before joining NST in
2004. Safety was an integral part of his business, which resulted in his
completion of a number of related courses and finally working full time in the
safety industry. He undertook both the Certificate and the Diploma in Safety,
Health & Welfare at Work in UCC and UCD as well as completing the
Certificate course in Training & Development with NUI Maynooth.
Denis has completed numerous other safety related courses including CIF’s
Managing Safety in Construction. He has vast experience and expertise in
managing safety on construction sites in particular and is an expert in plant
hire machinery safety.

Roseleen
Legal Docuements
Roseleen prepares our safety
statements and safety plans as well as ensuring that all of our information is
based on the most recent legislation and up-to-date standards.
Roseleen joined NST in February 2006 after spending 4 years
working for the safety department of Murphy International. She worked in their headoffice
in London before returning
to Dublin where she continued her role in preparing and maintaining their legal documents and
assisting with site audits and co-ordinating training. She has extensive
experience in safety documentation and piling. Roseleen
is currently studying the Diploma in Safety Health & Welfare at Work at
University Limerick.
